Are online chess classes effective for kids?
Yes. Live online chess classes offer the same cognitive benefits as in-person training with added flexibility. Children learn from rated coaches at home with personal attention in every session.
What age should my child start chess?
Most children are ready to start learning chess between ages 5 and 7. ChessMates teaches children aged 5 to 14 with age-appropriate lesson plans.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — every new student gets a free 30-minute trial class with no payment or commitment required.
Which countries do you serve?
ChessMates teaches students in India, UAE, UK, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the USA, the Netherlands, Germany and Ireland, with class times matched to each timezone.
How long is each class?
Regular classes run 60 minutes. The free trial class is 30 minutes.
Who are the coaches?
All ChessMates coaches are experienced rated players, led by FIDE-rated coach Lokesh N (FIDE 2251) and founder Lalit Akhade.
